Sediment routing
pastRivers carry a geochemical fingerprint of the landscapes they drain. This project developed techniques to unmix bulk sediment geochemistry into source-region contributions, reconstructing the erosional history of entire continental-scale drainage systems from their downstream deposits — a source-to-sink approach that links mountain erosion rates to the stratigraphic record in ocean basins.
